Foreign Home Purchases in Spain Grow by 10%, Reaching Record Prices

Foreigners bought 10% more homes in Spain in 2024 compared to the previous year, with purchases totaling 125,857 properties. This is the second-highest figure on record. The Valencian Community, Canary Islands, and Murcia saw the highest shares of foreign purchases.

Foreign residents in Spain made up about 60% of these purchases, while non-residents paid significantly more per square meter—€2,895 compared to €1,734 by foreign residents and €1,659 by Spanish nationals.
