Espagne: Costa Brava

Costa Brava

The Costa Brava is located in the province of Girona in Catalonia, Spain, with an area of 5,885 square kilometers. The coast has the Pyrenees at its northern boundary, while its western boundary stretches to the province of Barcelona. The key locations, where TerraSun offers properties for sale, are Roses, Empuriabrava, Blanes, Lloret de Mar, l'Estartit, Platja d'Aro, Sant Feliu and Palamos.

The climate of the Costa Brava cannot be described as homogenous and is highly dependent upon the altitude and proximity to the sea of the area in question. While maintaining its Mediterranean characteristics the climate is ideal for those who cannot stand too much heat in summer, but yet are not ready for cold winters. Therefore, buying your apartment in the Costa Brava, Spain, gives you a variety of different microclimates to choose from, depending upon your personal preferences and your health conditions.

Certainly, like on other 'costas', you will find a lot of spectacular beaches, which are signified by the Blue Flag, symbolizing clean and pollution free area. Another characteristic feature of the Costa Brava are small coves and hidden beaches surrounded by vegetation due to erosion of the sea on the cliffs.
Finally, on the Costa Brava you will be able to get in touch with the distinct Catalan culture, and learn Catalan language. Most importantly, there is the possibility to visit one of the most famous and most important cities in Spain, being Barcelona with its rich past reflected in its historical monuments. Thus, buying an apartment on the Costa Brava will open many doors of possibilities for you in order to familiarize you with the Spanish culture and tradition
